According to some leading scientists old offset printing plates and photopolymer plates can be used to make solar based cookers. Based on the scientists’ research they have been able to conclude that aluminum based offset printing plates and photopolymer plates made out of aluminum are good for solar cookers. The old printing plates can be used to make a number of things in the solar cooker. Some of the things which can be made out of the printing plates for the cooker include the outer casing for the cooker. This is because of the heating properties of aluminum. Other parts which can be made using the printing plates are the interior pans, the oven reflectors and the interior of the solar cooker. From the scientists’ research the resulting solar cooker is a low cost cooker which is light in weight, and easy to store. For those who are environmentally conscious then the cooker provides them with a cooker which makes use of clean energy, energy which is freely available and which also happens to emit no harmful emissions.

There are several uses into which offset printing plates and photopolymer plates can be put into after they have been used for printing. The additional uses to which the printing plates can be put into enables the users or the owners of the plates to get some additional earnings from the plates. Some of the uses which the plates can be put into include selling them off as collectibles. The plates can fetch very good prices especially if they have images or stories about celebrities or leading personalities in the society who every person wants to know anything about them. Another use of the used printing plates is that they can be sold off as scrap metal which can be melted to make new printing plates or any other metallic items.

Offset printing is a process which is used by almost all the big commercial printers in the world. This technique of printing involves the use of offset printing plates which are used to print the images made on them on paper or any other surface on which an image is required to be produced on. Although the photopolymer plates are commonly used in flexographic printing industry they can be used in any other commercial printing establishment to bring out the best print outs for clients.

The most common material used in the manufacture of offset printing plates is the aluminum. The offset printing plates are normally used in printing books, newspapers, fliers and many other print media which is required by a customer or a client. Aluminum is favored for the production of the printing plates due to its unique properties which include its ability to heat to high temperatures with the use of minimal heating. However aluminum is not only used in the manufacture of offset printing plates it is also used in the manufacture of Photopolymer plates. The reasons for its use in the manufacture of photopolymer plates are the same reasons which make aluminum ideal for offset printing plates.
